The plays are:
Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime
This is a dramatization of the short story of the same name by Oscar Wilde. While it uses Wilde’s text and characters, it has a modern structure and additional characters, providing an intriguing drama, extending the debate about free will, which is the central question in the original story.
Voices
An original piece in a modern setting, about relationships with family and friends. It is, essentially, a romance, with a few twists and surprises along the way.
There is the opportunity to be involved in either or both plays, as they will be cast separately and independently of each other.
Rehearsals will take place for Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime on Tuesday evenings and for Voices on Sunday afternoons.
A full rehearsal schedule will be available at auditions and afterwards.
The week of performance is 15-20 May 2023, with performances on 3 or 4 nights, preceded by dress and tech rehearsals .
