Auditions for Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be:
Tuesday 10 May 7.30pm at Quorn Village Hall
Sunday 15 May 2pm at Quorn Old School (Main Hall)
Tuesday 17 May 7.30pm at Quorn Village Hall
No roles have yet been cast and everyone attending our open auditions has an equal chance. However, you must be at least 16 years of age to take part in this production.
We do not ask you to prepare anything for our auditions, but it would be a good idea to get to know the play if you don’t already. You will work with a small team on a section of the text. Our plans for the production include several songs so we will ask you to sing. although not singing won’t necessarily rule you out of some of the major roles so don’t let that put you off! There will also be a short dance routine to learn and the same thing applies.
Performances take place over the August Bank Holiday Weekend on Saturday 27, Sunday 28 and 30 August at 7pm in Stafford Orchard. (An open-air production.)
Rehearsals take place on Thursdays from 7.30pm to 9.30pm in Quorn Village Hall. Additional rehearsals will take place in the Old School and Stafford Orchard on Sunday afternoons.
A rehearsal schedule will be issued and will run from May through June, July and August. We can work around holidays that have been booked provided there is a solid commitment to the production.
Our membership fee is only £5 a year and there is also a £10 production fee for each production you take part in.
